Born in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. in 1975, Phillip Vongsavang spent most of his childhood in Bangkok, Thailand before returning to the D.C. area to complete his schooling. After graduating from Watkins Mill High School, Phil “The Realtor” Vongsavang joined the U.S.M.C. but his enlistment was cut short due to medical reasons. Even so, Phil “The Realtor” Vongsavang takes great pride in his service and all the fighting men and women of all branches of the U.S. Armed Services. In late 2001, Phil “The Realtor” Vongsavang met a beautiful young lady from Columbus, Georgia. After charming this lovely lady with his incredible sense of humor and good looks, she agreed that, Mrs. Vongsavang wasn't actually that hard to spell and did have a nice “ring” to it. Phil and Hannah were married in September of 2002. Shortly after the birth of their eldest daughter the Vongsavang family relocated from Maryland to Hannah’s home town of Columbus, Georgia. “It was just too hectic in D.C.. It would take me forty-five minutes to an hour just to drive the 5 miles from work to home” remarked Phil “The Realtor” about the family's decision to move to Georgia. Phil “The Realtor” Vongsavang received his Real Estate license in October of 2007 and, shortly after, teamed up with Shepherd Brokers.com.GMAC, the only Premier Service providers in the Columbus, G.A./ Phenix City, A.L. area. Phil has celebrated (and survived) his first year in Real Estate in one of the toughest markets many of his veteran contemporaries have seen, still having managed to make a few sales! With almost a decade and a half in retail management Phil understands that excellent Customer Service is the most important part of any buying or selling experience. When asked about his service philosophy, Phil said: “It only takes 20% effort to provide 80% service. But to achieve that last 20% takes 80% effort. That’s were most folks drop the ball.” While Phil "The Realtor" believes in the safety of the Columbus, Georgia metro area, having come from cities like Washington D.C. and Bangkok, Thailand have left him with a greater understanding for the need to keep our children safe. In 2006 Phil teamed up with Kid Safe Network to provide information and ID kits to families through local seminars. For more information you can contact Phil through the same telephone number and email address listed on this site. In July 2008, Phil "The Realtor" Vongsavang was nominated to Keep Columbus Beautiful by serving a temporary position on the Commission. "I really enjoyed working on the tree recycling program at the Columbus Botanical Gardens," says Phil. As a member of the Keep Columbus Beautiful Comission, Phil "The Realtor" was not just focused on the real estate market, but the quality of life around town and how that is going to effect our future. Phil urges you to take some time to explore Columbus and volunteer through some of the KCB programs like Help the Hooch.
